WELCOME TO THE SOUTHWEST AUSTIN DEMOCRATS OFFICIAL WEBSITE.

 

Membership

Membership in the Southwest Austin Democrats is open to any Travis or Hays County resident who is at least 16 years of age. Club Officers, however, must live in Travis County and reside in Southwest Austin which is defined as south of the Colorado River and west of South First Street. Annual membership is $10 per calendar year. Dues can be paid in cash or by sending  a $10 check, payable to Southwest Austin Democrats, to:

About Us

The Southwest Austin Democrats (SWAD) organization was created in December 2004. Our mission is to organize, cultivate, and increase the Democratic Party presence in Southwest Austin. But we need help from the SW Austin precinct chairs and activists to meet these objectives. As the Clintons would say "its take a village." As a united Southwest Austin group, we can succeed in our efforts to elect more Democrats to state and local offices and to give notice once again that Southwest Travis County is not a Republican stronghold.
